ABOUT ME
Who am I?
I’m a rising freshman at the University of California- Irvine, where I have chosen to major in Informatics. I’m from Washinton State, where I’ve grown up exploring and appreciating the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
What inspired me to choose my major?
This major immediately intrigued me due to its unique blend of computer science, business, and design. I love the way Informatics utilizes technology to make a positive impact on peoples lives.
What are my favorite pastimes?
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, building Legos, and reading engaging books. I also love watching Survivor with my family, and working on my personal projects, such as this website!
What work experience do I have?
I worked at Boehm’s Candies, a unique Austrian-German chocolate candy shop in my hometown, throughout high school. I took on multiple roles, including candy class instructor, tour guide, and salesperson, all of which helped me develop my confidence, and skills like communication and problem solving.
What are some causes I care about?
I am passionate about the environment and education, and I try and reflect this in my academic pursuits. For example, I have written essays on the harm of fast fashion on the environment.
Why did I make this website?
In the beginning, I created this website as a personal project to grow my web development skills. It has now transformed into an interactive space where I can showcase my work, offer resources to others, while also documenting my personal and academic growth.
Do you prefer coffee or tea, and why?
I’m definitely a coffee girl. It’s a slow start to my morning before I drink some of my homemade cold brew! My parents say I’m already addicted to coffee… and they are absolutely right.
